10 Web 2.0 Tools You Can Use For Your Classroom

1.) ChartGizmo :.This tool allows you to create charts for websites, blogs, and other social interactions. You may use this tool for visualizing finances, scientific data, test scores, and many other types of raw data.The following diagram types are available: Pie chart, Bar graph, Line graph, Ring chart, 3D Pie chart, 3D Bar graph, 3D Line graph, Candle, Scatter-plot, and Time-Series. You can also import data from an excel spreadsheet. You can use this in your classroom by creating your own graph for tests or assignments. You can also assign your students to create their own while doing a research project, teaching them how to create a graph with technology, or to show data averages and scores of the class on tests or assignments. 

2. Museum Box- Museum Box is a tool that helps give presentations in a fun and interactive way. It starts you out with 8 boxes and if you click one of those 8 boxes it gives you 6 more boxes to put information on. You could have up to 48 or more boxes to put information on. This also lets you embed images and videos into the boxes. My students could make a museum box to talk about a famous scientist or a major scientific breakthrough. This museum box would let them have as many pictures, videos, or information they want.

3. DivShare: DivShare is a media delivery system that allows you to upload documents, save, and share them. You can keep up to 5 gigs online. You are able to store videos, photos, music, and document files. Students can upload their work to this website if they don't have a flash drive on hand. It allows their documents to be saved, and they can log-in on another computer to complete the work and access what they have so far.

4. Lulu Jr- Lulu Jr. allows students to create and publish their own book. They can also order copies for the class.The students could even become award-winning authors. The students could use this to make a book about any science topic that we have studied so far. We could then print the books and read them aloud in class.

5. QuizRevolution: This website allows you to create your own quiz or survey. You can add content and customize your own information. It can be on any topic to help keep the audience engaged. Teachers can use this resource for one question polls or quizzes. They may use this for bellwork or to answer a question about a story that they read for an assignment. It may also provide feedback from the students on how hard they think the material is.

6. Braingle: This site has fun free brain teasers, puzzles, riddles for kids to do. This site will help students get their brain working and ready for the lessons you prepare to teach. I think that this will be a fun way for students to build a  healthy competition between their classmates. 

7. eQuizzer- eQuizzer allows you to create quizzes and test easily. It also allows you to monitor your students' scores. I could use this to make quizzes online and give them to my students. Also my students could make quizzes based on some of the questions they are having trouble with then we could go over them in class.

8. Tux Paint: Drawing program for children ages 3 to 12. It combines an easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who guides children as they use the program. Kids are presented with a blank canvas and a variety of drawing tools to help them be creative. This could be used in the classroom because it gives creativity opportunities for students to design drawings. 

9.  SchoolWAX TV is a useful tool that enables teachers to create accounts and upload or link videos. All videos on this site are educational. This is a free online tool that students can use at their own leisure. Students can use this tool if they are struggling with homework and need additional assistance to complete an assignment. Teachers can dictate which videos they want their students to see and can direct them to this site if they need clarification on a topic.

10. Bubbl.us: This website helps create brainstorming bubbles that help get your ideas downs. This website also has the capability to save and print off your bubbles to take anywhere. If I were to assign a research paper on WW2 leaders, I would have my students start on this website. It's, and easy way to have all your ideas in one spot, to get them down quickly, and this website helps it look better. This will help me be able to read the kids handwriting because it's typed and helps my students read their handwriting later.
